Add UTM Parameters to Microsoft Ads

Updated October 6, 2026

Microsoft Advertising lets you set your URL parameters once for the whole account, in the Final URL suffix. Every campaign and ad on Bing, including the ones you create later, then sends Profitario the campaign and ad behind each click.

Set the Account's Final URL Suffix#

  1. 1

    Step 1 of 3

    Open the account level options#

In Microsoft Advertising, hover over Campaigns in the left menu, select Settings, then Account level options.

  2. 2

    Step 2 of 3

    Paste into Final URL suffix#

Paste the line above into Final URL suffix, exactly as it is, with no ? or & in front. Click Save.

  3. 3

    Step 3 of 3

Keep the Microsoft Click ID on#

On the same page, keep Add Microsoft Click ID (MSCLKID) to URLs ticked. It is on by default and marks every click as a paid Microsoft click.

  4. Done

    Check the next order#

Click one of your live ads and look at your store's address in the browser: it should show real numbers, such as utm_id=412345678. The next order from a Bing ad shows Matched by ad ID in the order's Attribution tab.

Things Microsoft Does Its Own Way#

Microsoft's own placeholders. Microsoft writes them {CampaignId}, {Campaign} and {AdId}. Copy the line as it is rather than reusing your Google suffix, which has {creative} for the ad.

A lower level replaces the account suffix. A Final URL suffix on a campaign, ad group, ad or keyword is used instead of the account one there. Microsoft does not combine them. If an older suffix sits at one of those levels, remove it or add the parameters there too.

UTM auto-tagging. Account level options also has Add UTM tags to my destination URLs. It adds utm_source=bing, utm_medium=cpc and the campaign name, but not the IDs. You do not need it with the suffix above. If you turn it on, choose to keep your own tags, as both together can repeat the same parameter.

Imported from Google Ads? Campaigns imported from Google can bring their own Final URL suffix along, which then replaces the account one. Check the campaign level after an import.
