Profit and loss

An income statement for your Shopify store

Revenue, refunds, taxes, COGS, fulfillment costs, marketing and operating expenses in accounting structure, per period. Every line item expands into the components it is made of.

What you get

Income statement structure

Line items flow from Sales through Net Sales, Gross Profit and Contribution Margin to Net Profit. Parent rows expand into product revenue, shipping revenue, tips, discounts, restocked COGS and input VAT deductions.

Period columns and comparison

Choose day, week, month, quarter or year columns with an optional total column. Compare each cell against the previous period or the same period last year.

Ratios and acquisition metrics

Gross margin, net margin, refund, COGS, fulfillment and marketing percentages are computed per period. Blended CAC, blended ROAS and new versus repeat customer sales sit in the same table.

Expense report

Recurring expenses are expanded into daily amounts by billing cycle and distribution mode. A per-expense pivot table and stacked chart show how each expense lands per period, with the calculation behind every cell.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Connect Shopify

Install the app and import your order history. Sales, discounts, refunds and taxes come from the order data.

  2. Step 2

    Add costs and expenses

Connect ad accounts, suppliers, shipping providers and payment gateways, and record recurring expenses with their billing cycle.

  3. Step 3

    Read the statement

Order-level costs are attributed to their orders and expenses to their billing dates. The report aggregates both per period and lays them out from revenue down to net profit.

Metrics
