How to Connect PayPal

This guide walks you through connecting your PayPal account to Profitario to import transaction data, disputes, and fees.
Prerequisites#
- A PayPal Business account.
- Access to the PayPal account you want to connect.
OAuth Authorization#
- In Profitario, go to Settings > Integrations.
- Find PayPal in the Payments section.
- Click Connect.
- You will be redirected to PayPal's authorization page.
- Log in and grant Profitario the requested permissions.
- You will be redirected back to Profitario.
What Data Is Imported#
Profitario imports the following data from PayPal:
- Transactions -- payment details linked to your Shopify orders
- Disputes -- chargebacks and claims filed against your account
- Fees -- PayPal transaction fees for accurate profit calculation
Troubleshooting#
- Authorization fails: Make sure you are logging in with a PayPal Business account, not a personal account.
- Data not appearing: Allow a few minutes after connecting for the initial import to complete.
- Disputes not showing: Verify that your PayPal account has dispute activity in the selected date range.
