Free Plan Limits and the "Plan limit reached" Screen

Updated October 4, 2026

The Free plan covers one store with up to 50 orders a month and up to 5 integrations. When your account goes above one of these limits, Profitario shows Plan limit reached in place of your reports until you start a subscription or are back within the limits. This article explains how the limits are counted, when the screen appears, and what happens to your data in the meantime.

Where
The limits are on Billing > Plans. The Usage card on the Overview page shows where you stand.
Who
Accounts on the Free plan. Every team member sees the screen; owners, admins and members with access to all stores can upgrade.
Updates
The order limit is checked against your average of the last three full calendar months. The check runs each time you open Profitario.

What the Free Plan Includes#

LimitFree planWhat counts
Orders50 per month (average)All orders of every store that has the Profitario app installed, added up for the whole account.
Stores1Shopify stores with the Profitario app installed.
Integrations5Each connection counts once, even when it holds several ad accounts. AliExpress does not count. A connection that has expired or lost access does not count.
Usage chargeNoneThe Free plan is never charged. Orders above 50 lead to the Plan limit reached screen instead.

The Plans page also compares the features of each plan. See Plans and Pricing for every plan side by side.

How the Order Limit Is Checked#

The average of the last three full months counts, not the current month. Profitario adds up the orders of each of the three calendar months before the current one and divides by the number of months. An average above 50 is over the limit. The current month does not decide it, so a new install on the 1st of a month is judged by its real volume right away.

The average starts with your first month that has orders. If your store had its first orders two months ago, the average covers those two months only. A month without orders after that still counts as zero.

Without orders in the last three full months, the last 30 days count. A store that only started selling this month is compared by its orders of the last 30 days.

All stores are counted together. The orders of every store with the app installed are added up. Months are counted in your account's billing time zone, the same as for usage charges.

Orders count the same way as for usage charges. Test orders and orders with a payment status such as Voided are left out. See How Does the Usage Charge Work? for the full list.

Worked example

Your store had 62 orders in July, 48 in August and 55 in September. In October, Profitario compares the average with the limit:

Average
62 + 48 + 553= 55 orders
Over the limit by
55 − 50= 5 orders

The average is above 50, so the account shows Plan limit reached in October, even though October itself has only a few orders so far.

On November 1 the window moves on by one month. July drops out and October comes in. With 37 orders in October:

Average
48 + 55 + 373= 47 orders

47 is within the limit, so the screen is gone the next time you open Profitario in November. The average is rounded to whole orders: 50.4 counts as 50, 50.5 as 51.

When the "Plan limit reached" Screen Appears#

You get three days' notice first. The countdown starts the first time Profitario sees your account over a limit, for example when you open the app after a month with more orders, or after a paid plan ends. If you get back within the limits, the countdown is cleared, and going over again later starts a new one.

  • If only the order volume is over the limit, a blue banner shows above your dashboard, for example Your account is above the Free plan · reports pause in 2 days. On the last day it turns yellow and says Reports pause tomorrow. Everything works as normal until then.
  • If too many stores or integrations are connected, a window with the same content as the screen below opens. Close it and keep working until the three days are over.
When the "Plan limit reached" Screen Appears

After the first three days, the screen appears right away. An account that is older than three days, for example one that moved to Free after a cancellation, gets no countdown.

The screen covers your reports, not the whole app. It appears on the Overview page, on every page of a store (dashboard, orders, reports, product costs, expenses, tax and the store settings) and on Dashboard Views. On those pages the store menu in the sidebar is greyed out. On the Overview page you can collapse the screen to a yellow bar to see your stores and the Usage card.

What Happens in the Background#

Nothing is deleted. Your stores, costs, expenses and settings stay as they are.

Orders keep importing. New orders from Shopify keep arriving while the screen shows, and your connected integrations keep importing their data. Your reports are complete as soon as they are available again.

You are not charged. The Free plan has no usage charge, whatever your order volume.

How to Get Out#

Start a subscription. Click Start 14-day trial on the screen, or pick a plan on Billing > Plans, and approve the charge in Shopify. When Shopify sends you back to Profitario, your plan is active and all reports are available again, including the past months. The trial is offered once per account; see How the 14-Day Trial Works and Change, Upgrade or Downgrade Your Plan.

Get back within the limits.

  • Integrations: click Manage integrations on the screen, or open Integrations, and disconnect the connections you no longer need until 5 or fewer are left.
  • Stores: the Free plan covers one store. Every installed store counts.
  • Orders: the average is recalculated on the first day of every month. The screen disappears once the average of the last three full months is 50 or less, as in the worked example above.

Limits#

  • The order check uses full calendar months. Orders of the current month only count when the last three months have no orders at all.
  • Orders of a store where the Profitario app was uninstalled are not counted.
  • The countdown is cleared only when someone opens Profitario while the account is within the limits.
