How to Connect an Integration
Updated April 15, 2026
Profitario connects to ad platforms, shipping providers, payment processors, and analytics tools to pull in the data you need for accurate profit reporting. This guide covers the general flow for connecting any integration.
Navigating to the Integrations Page#
- Open Profitario and go to Settings > Integrations (or click Integrations in the sidebar).
- You will see the Integrations Hub, listing all available platforms grouped by category: Ad Platforms, Shipping, Payments, and Analytics.
Connection Methods#
Profitario uses two connection methods depending on the platform:
OAuth (Ad Platforms, Analytics, PayPal)#
OAuth integrations redirect you to the platform's login page where you authorize Profitario to access your data. No credentials are stored in Profitario -- only a secure access token.
- Click Connect next to the integration.
- You are redirected to the platform's authorization page.
- Log in (if not already) and grant Profitario the requested permissions.
- You are redirected back to Profitario with the connection established.
- Select which accounts or properties to import data from.
API Key (Shipping Providers, Stripe)#
API key integrations require you to generate a key in the external platform's dashboard and paste it into Profitario.
- Click Connect next to the integration.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to generate an API key in the external platform.
- Copy the key and paste it into the field in Profitario.
- Click Save or Add API Key to complete the connection.
Integration Categories#
Ad Platforms#
Import ad spend data from Facebook/Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Snapchat, and Pinterest. These use OAuth and typically require selecting which ad accounts to track.
Shipping Providers#
Import shipping cost data from services like ShipHero, Shipmondo, ShipStation, Shippo, and others. These typically use API keys or tokens generated in the provider's dashboard.
Payment Processors#
Stripe and PayPal connections import transaction fees and dispute data. Stripe uses a restricted API key; PayPal uses OAuth.
Analytics#
Google Analytics (GA4) provides visitor, session, and conversion rate data. Uses OAuth and requires selecting GA4 properties.
After Connecting#
- Data import begins automatically once the connection is established.
- Depending on the integration and data volume, the initial import may take a few minutes.
- You can manage, reconnect, or disconnect integrations at any time from the Integrations page.
Troubleshooting#
- If the OAuth redirect fails, make sure pop-ups are not blocked in your browser.
- If an API key is rejected, verify you copied the full key including any prefix.
- For expired tokens, see How to Reconnect an Expired Integration Access Token.
